My Very First Cocktail

 My first cocktail, Nara Cane, was at this sushi spot in downtown Kansas City, MO back in 2018. Unfortunately, it is not there anymore but it served the best sushi in town, Nara. When I looked at the menu and finally decided to have my first "big girl" drink, I was so overwhelmed by the ingredients, the names, and the different spirits each one had. I was nervous about ordering a drink that was $10+ and not knowing if I would like it or not.  I also noticed that a lot of the menus were discrete about their cocktail prices. Which led me to create my very first post on Kikocktails! I want to provide a platform for my peers with my opinion of the drinks and the prices. In my early twenties, cash flow was a little low so, the price of something was very important but I felt awkward asking the waiter. So, here we are but, now, I try drinks from everywhere around the world, I vow to give my honest opinions and to disclose the price. I hope you enjoy my take on your favorite cocktails and leave some suggestions for me to try.

 For the sake of this blog, I have to talk about equal parts traveling and cocktails. So, cheers to this being my first post about traveling. I knew I always wanted to travel and see different parts of the world since I was younger. I think going back and forth from Kansas City to Chicago, to Texas, to Minnesota -- the thrill of going somewhere else always excited me. What excited me most was THE FOOD!
